Tactical Emergency Casualty Care/CPR/AED
Service Description
This 8 hour course offers recognized training material created by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) and the American Red Cross. Upon completion participants will be recognized as First-Care Providers by the C-TECC and Certified by the ARC in First Aid/CPR/AED competence. Whether it is an accident in your workplace, on the road, or in your home, or a cardiac arrest or a shooting, stabbing, training accident, or mass casualty event, time is the enemy of the wounded. Untreated, the result is rarely positive. The immediate application of the proper tools (tourniquet, direct pressure, compression bandage), the application of CPR, the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), within seconds of the incident, greatly improves the chances of survival of the victim. It is calculated that for every minute left untreated, the chances of surviving a traumatic event is reduced by 10%. Knowing what to do and how to do it, and having the right gear at hand is not optional, it’s mandatory. This class will equip you to save a life: a loved one, a fellow human being, or yourself.
